The Le Palais Team sets up its own charity project called One Crown a day.
The idea is simple. Any hotel employee can participate by donating one Czech crown a day to the fund. It is not a lot of money, but even a little can help if done on a regular basis!
After mutual agreement, we decided to donate the money to a specific organisation. Our attention was caught by the family-type Children's Home in Nechanice.
- In October 2007 we donated 21,550 CZK for new bicycles
- In December 2007 we bought Christmas gifts for all the children
- We also presented the children’s home with a contribution from one of our regular guests who had decided to join our project with a sum of EUR 2,000
- The participants of the IRRRM 2008 Conference, which took a place in Prague in February 2008, liked very much this idea and during the Gala Dinner collected 69.108 CZK. In agreement with Mr. Luboš Holeček, director of the children’s home in Nechanice, we have purchased for the kids 3 brand new computers and one printer. We would like to thank you once again to all people, who contributed to a good thing!
